The Year of the Dog serves as a symbol of loyalty, responsibility and honesty in Asian cultures. On Sunday, February 25, residents and visitors will join Mills 50 District for the 7th annual Dragon Parade/Lunar New Year Festival to celebrate the Chinese New Year and all individuals born during the Year of the Dog.
Once per week a theme will be announced on APGD’s Facebook and Instagram accounts. Then just snap pics in the APGD area (from Leu Gardens to East End Market and everything in between) that follow the theme and used the hashtag, #ILoveAPGD, and you’re automatically entered to win prizes.
Everyone is encouraged to be creative and have fun with this I Love APGD contest.
Contest Terms & Conditions: I love APGD is a three-week social media contest from February 11 – March 2, 2018. Each Sunday of the week throughout the three-week promotion, a theme will be presented via Facebook and Instagram. To be entered to win, entries must include a photo that aligns with the theme, is taken in the APGD area and uses the hashtag #ILoveAPGD.
One entry will be randomly selected on Fridays of each week of the promotion, totaling three winners over the three-week promotion. Randomly selected winners will receive a pair of passes to our upcoming APGD Garden Tour. No purchase necessary and not exchangeable for cash. Winner’s photo will be reposted by the Garden District and will be notified via direct message on respective social media channel. Winners are required to respond to direct message within 48 hours or the offer will be revoked and a new winner will be randomly selected.
Winners can choose to have passes mailed or picked up in person within one week of initial contact at The Lovely Boutique Market at 2906 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. If mailed, winners must provide mailing address. If picked up in person, winner must present proof of identification to retrieve the passes. No copyrighted materials may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material.
NOTE: If you need more hashtags in addition to #alocalthing and #ILoveAPGD, we are also using #lovelocal and #livesustainably so those are options, too.
Come out and support our local businesses and main streets districts this holiday season.
Holiday shopping season is upon us! What better way to find a unique and one-of-a-kind gift for everyone on your shopping list than to shop small? In honor of Small Business Saturday, Mayor Dyer and the City of Orlando invite all residents on Saturday, November 25 to make a conscious decision to patronize the small, locally-owned businesses in our community – many of which are located in our Orlando Main Streets Districts.
See the list below for Small Business Saturday promotions throughout our districts. This list is updated daily.
